Each year for the past 19 years, our generous community sponsors and supporters have gathered for lunch at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center Banquet Hall for 2 1/2 hours of food, fun, and music. 

Mayors from Lubbock and surrounding counties don white aprons and greet every supporter with a handshake as they enter the banquet hall.  As Hospice of Lubbock's largest fundraising event each year, we serve upwards of 2000 people. 

Ticket prices have remained the same every year....$10 each.  Don Caldwell and his Stars of the Cactus Theater provide the best music anywhere, as his donation to the event. Local media celebrities emcee the event while local officials and community leaders serve as wait staff and servers.

In 2007 we added a new money making event with the first ever "Tip Your Waiter" contest.  The wait person turning in the most tips collected during their shift was awarded the traveling "Golden Apron Award".  This year's winner collected over $300 in tip donations for Hospice of Lubbock. 

This event generates over $50,000 annually for Hospice of Lubbock's unfunded and under-funded hospice patients.  Monies also provide grief recovery counseling and services free to the community through the  Hospice of Lubbock Grief Recovery Center and O.W. English Children's Grief Camp.
