VOLUNTEER TRAINING AT HOSPICE OF LUBBOCK

Volunteers are so important to Hospice of Lubbock, whether they work in the office, during fundraising events, at the Hospice of Lubbock Family Thrift Shoppe or directly with patients and families.  Thank you for considering becoming a Hospice of Lubbock volunteer.  We would love to have you help us in any way that you can.

All volunteers for Hospice of Lubbock are asked to agree to:

  • Abide by the Volunteer Program Policies and Procedures set forth by Hospice of Lubbock.
  • Sign a Statement of Confidentiality
  • A 12-month term of service to Hospice of Lubbock
  • Annual Tuberculosis screening
  • Provide Hospice of Lubbock with current copies of a Driver's License and proof of Auto Insurance.
  • Work according to the team approach with other members of the hospice team in supporting patients and families.
  • Attend Team Meetings, Support Groups and Continuing Education programs as their schedules will permit.
  • Provide written documentation of all patient/family contacts and visits on behalf of Hospice of Lubbock
24-Hours of Volunteer Training is required of all Direct-Patient volunteers.  Training classes are scheduled quarterly.  These training sessions can be offered in 3 8-hour increments or can be scheduled by "modules" to better fit your schedule.  The new training classes are being scheduled at this time.  Please call Cheryl Keefer, Volunteer Coordinator at 795-2751 or email her at
